Shipping policy
We ship our products from the United Kingdom to customers around the world. Please read this Shipping and International Customs Policy carefully before placing an order. By placing an order for delivery outside the United Kingdom, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out below.
1. Shipping from the United Kingdom
All orders are dispatched from our UK facility.
We ship internationally using a range of third-party postal and courier services. The shipping option and costs will be displayed at checkout based on your delivery destination.
Once your order has been dispatched you will receive tracking information where tracking information is available, this will be sent to the information provided by the customer at checkout.
Delivery times and estimates can very depending on the destination country, courier, customs clearance and other circumstances outside of our control.
International delivery times may therefore be longer than the estimated transit time shown by courier.
2. International Orders and Import Charges
Orders being shipped outside the United Kingdom may be subject to additional charges when they arrive in the destination country.
These charges may include, but are not limited to:
- Import Duties
- Customs Duties
- Import VAT
- Sales or use taxes
- Goods and Services Tax (GST)
- Customs clearance charges
- Customs brokerage fees
- Courier or postal administration/handling fees
- Storage fees arising from customs delays
- Other charges imposed by the destination country's authorities or delivery provider
These charges are not included in the product price or the international shipping charge shown at the checkout unless specifically states otherwise.
Where applicable, the customer/recipient is responsible for paying these charges.
The amount of any import duties. taxes or other charges is determined by the customs authorities and/or delivery provider in the destination country. We cannot guarantee the amount of any such charges in advance.
3. The customer is the Importer
For international orders, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the products can legally be imported into the destination country.
By placing an international order, you acknowledge that you may be required to act as the importer of the goods and provide information to customs authorities or the delivery company.
You are responsible for providing accurate information required for customs clearance, including your name, address, telephone number and any other information reasonably required by the carrier or customs authorities.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, incomplete information, unpaid import charges or import restrictions in the destination country.
4. Customs Delays
International deliveries may be delayed while an order is being processed by customs.
Customs authorities in the destination country operate independently from us and from the delivery company. We cannot control how long customs clearance will take.
Possible reasons for a customs delay include:
- Import duty or tax requiring payment
- Customs inspections
- Incorrect or incomplete recipient information
- Requests for additional documentation
- Import restrictions
- Local customs procedures
- High volumes at customs
- Failure to respond to a customs or carrier request
A customs delay does not normally constitute a failure by us to dispatch your order.
Once your order has been handed to the carrier, delays caused by the destination country's customs authorities are outside our control.
5. Payment of Import Charges
If your local customs authority or delivery company contacts you requesting payment of import VAT, customs duty, tax or clearance fees, you are responsible for paying these charges directly to the relevant authority or carrier.
We do not collect or pay these charges on your behalf unless we expressly state that your order is being shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis.
Please be aware that some carriers may require payment before they will release a parcel for delivery.
We cannot instruct a carrier to release an international shipment where the required import charges have not been paid.
6. What Happens If You Do Not Pay Import Charges?
If you refuse or fail to pay applicable import duties, taxes or customs charges, your order may be:
- Held by customs;
- Held by the delivery company;
- Returned to us;
- Abandoned or disposed of in accordance with local customs procedures; or
- Subject to additional storage, return or administration charges.
If an international order is returned to us because the recipient has refused to pay applicable import charges, the original shipping cost and any costs incurred by us as a result of the return may be deducted from any refund that is otherwise due, subject to your statutory rights.
Where the carrier or customs authority charges us for returning or handling an undelivered international shipment, we reserve the right to recover those costs from the customer where legally permitted.
7. Refusal to Accept an International Delivery
Refusing delivery does not automatically cancel an order or remove responsibility for costs associated with returning the goods.
If you refuse an international delivery because you do not wish to pay import duties or taxes, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where the goods are returned to us, we will deal with the order in accordance with our returns and refund policy and applicable consumer law.
Any non-refundable shipping, return-to-sender, customs or carrier charges incurred as a result of the refusal may be deducted from a refund where permitted by law.
8. Customs & Commodity Classification
We provide customs information and documentation reasonably required to export your order from the UK.
We may include information such as:
- Product description
- Quantity
- Product value
- Country of origin
- Commodity/HS code where applicable
- Shipping information
- Commercial invoice information
UK exporters are required to classify goods correctly and provide appropriate export documentation.
Although we take reasonable care when preparing customs documentation, we cannot guarantee how a destination country's customs authority will classify the goods or calculate any applicable taxes or duties.
Any customs classification or duty estimate provided by us should therefore be treated as guidance rather than a guarantee of the final amount payable.
9. Import Restrictions
Before placing an international order, customers should check that snowboard wall mounts and associated products can be imported into their country.
Different countries may have different requirements concerning construction products, fixings, materials, packaging, product standards or other goods.
We are not responsible for an order being delayed, rejected or returned because the destination country does not permit the importation of the product or because the customer has not obtained a required permit, licence or approval.
If you are unsure whether our products can be imported into your country, we recommend contacting your local customs authority before ordering.
10. International Shipping Costs
International shipping costs are separate from import duties and taxes.
The shipping charge covers the transportation service selected at checkout and does not necessarily cover the costs associated with importing the goods into your country.
For clarity:
Product price + international shipping ≠ necessarily the final amount you will pay.
Your final cost may also include charges imposed by your country's customs authority or delivery company.
11. Estimated Delivery Times
Any delivery times displayed on our website are estimates rather than guarantees.
International delivery times may vary depending on:
- Destination country
- Shipping service selected
- Carrier delays
- Customs processing
- Import documentation
- Local delivery conditions
- Payment of import charges
Customs processing can occur after an order has left the UK and is outside our direct control.
For this reason, customs delays are not included within our quoted transit-time estimates unless specifically stated otherwise.
12. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout.
We cannot be held responsible for delays, additional delivery charges or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
If an order has already been dispatched, changing the delivery address may not be possible and may result in additional carrier charges.
13. Damaged or Lost International Orders
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with photographs of:
- The damaged product;
- The external packaging;
- Any internal packaging; and
- The shipping label.
This information may be required to make a claim with the delivery company.
If your order appears to be lost in transit, please contact us so that we can investigate with the carrier.
International deliveries can sometimes experience delays while being processed through customs, so a shipment showing limited tracking activity does not necessarily mean that it has been lost.
14. Returns From Outside the UK
If you return an international order to us, you are responsible for following the return instructions we provide.
Unless the return is being made because the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise covered by a legal right to have return costs paid by us, the customer may be responsible for the cost of returning the goods.
When returning goods internationally, you are responsible for completing the required customs documentation accurately.
Please do not mark a commercial return as a "gift" or deliberately declare an incorrect value.
Incorrect customs documentation may result in delays, additional charges or the goods being returned.
15. Import Duties Are Not Our Shipping Charge
Please note that an import duty or tax charged by your country's customs authority is not an additional shipping charge imposed by us.
These charges are imposed by the destination country and/or its customs or tax authorities.
We have no control over:
- Whether a charge is applied;
- The rate of tax or duty;
- The method used to calculate the charge; or
- The fees charged by the local delivery company for customs clearance.
Customers should contact their local customs authority or carrier if they require an exact estimate of the charges that may apply to their order.
16. VAT on UK Exports
Where applicable, goods exported from Great Britain to destinations outside the UK may qualify for UK VAT zero-rating, provided the relevant HMRC conditions and evidence requirements are met.
This does not mean that an international customer will necessarily pay no tax.
A customer may still be required to pay import VAT, sales tax, GST, customs duty or other charges in the destination country.
The tax treatment of an international purchase is ultimately dependent on the applicable rules in the destination country.
17. Important Information for International Customers
If you are ordering from outside the UK, please understand that you may be required to pay additional import charges before your order can be delivered.
By completing an international purchase, you confirm that:
- You understand that import duties and taxes may apply;
- You accept responsibility for paying those charges;
- You understand that the amount cannot always be calculated by us in advance;
- You understand that customs clearance may delay delivery;
- You have checked, or are satisfied that you can check, the import requirements applicable to your country; and
- You understand that refusing to pay applicable import charges may result in the goods being returned and additional costs being incurred.
International orders are shipped on a DAP basis unless expressly stated otherwise.
The customer is responsible for all import duties, import taxes, customs clearance charges, brokerage fees and other destination-country charges associated with importing the goods.
